According to the Marcus Aurclius,” Poverty is the mother of crime.” The poor one faces financial crunch can easily be fall a prey to terrorist ideology.
Similarly, in absolute terms, people living in poverty will increase from 69 million in June 2018 to 87 million by June 2020, indicating 26% increase in poverty or an addition of 18 million people in the first two years of the PTI government.
The previous governments have tried their level best to mitigate Poverty but failed due to certain reasons.
In the same way, the present government has taken an effective steps to curtail poverty by; eradicating corruption at national level ; providing quality education to invest in educational institutions; promoting tourism through China Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC) project between China and Pakistan, and kartarpur corridor; generating local business ; creating a lot of opportunities; introducing infrastructure of modern technology; enhancing good relation with foreign countries; increasing exports; abating imports; proper use of natural resources and balancing trade system.
By and large, it can be said that poverty is the burning question of the day. It has reached an alarming stage in the land of Quaid.
Approximately one third of population is below poverty line. Poverty keeps Pakistan away to become a self relient country. Great nations have progressed by leaps and bounds after solving their issue of poverty.
