Ondo Guber: AbdulRazaq reacts to Akeredolu’s victory


The Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated his Ondo State counterpart Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on his victory at the Saturday governorship ballot, saying the victory was deserving.

“I congratulate His Excellency the Governor of Ondo State on his victory. It is a deserving reward for his good works. The massive victory is a resounding vote of confidence by the people in his leadership in the past four years. The outcome is therefore a victory for excellent performance of our party under his able leadership in the Sunshine State,”  the Governor said in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye on Sunday.

The governor also rejoiced with the leadership and members of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo and across the country for rallying round the Governor to achieve the victory.

REPUBLICAN recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday declared Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the state, having polled the highest score of 292,830 votes.

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Eyitayo Jegede polled 195,791 while Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) scored 69,127 votes.
