The Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Jide Ojuko, has reversed his decision to resign from the cabinet of the outgoing administration in the state.

REPUBLICAN recalls that Ojuko on Monday tendered his letter of resignation over a directive from his boss, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on the installation of traditional rulers in Ota, which according to him was against his “conscience”.

Speaking with newsmen on Friday in his office, the Commissioner described the resignation letter as a “love letter” between “two lovers. ”

He told journalists that Governor Amosun rejected his letter and that issues surrounding his resignation were being looked into.

Ojuko said, “The letter was a love letter between two lovers. The governor rejected my letter of resignation and all issues surrounding it were being looked into. So, I am the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs until the end of this administration.”
